Qld: Toddler dies from stab wounds
BRISBANE, Dec 27 AAP - A three-year-old boy died from stab wounds overnight at Rockhamptonin central Queensland, police said.
Officers were called to a Joiner St house just after 6.30pm (AEST) when they foundthe toddler with stab wounds to his chest, police said.
The child died shortly after being admitted to the Rockhampton Base Hospital.
A woman, whose relationship to the toddler has not been disclosed, was also taken tohospital and was expected to undergo surgery for her injuries today, police said.
Police said the woman had suffered knife wounds.
A post-mortem on the toddler's body will be conducted today, police said.
Rockhampton detectives were investigating.
